I recently took a trip down to the local VW dealership to see what the ‘07 Jetta‘s look like. I was rather impressed. The new Jetta is a very sharp, very sporty car; a rather impressive ride. I had no intention of buying, I just wanted to take one for a test drive.
That is, until I saw a black Wolfsburg edition. As soon as I saw the car, I knew it was true: love at first sight is real. 😉
After 3-hours and signing a small mountain of papers, I had a new car. Not just a car, my first new car.
Update: The promised picture (now that Flickr uploading works again):
When I buy something, I expect support. When I buy something expensive, I expect really good support. That may be asking too much, but that’s just how I think. Now, when I contact the vendor for support, I expect to talk to somebody that understands the product. When I bring up an issue that gets me on a conference call with a Vice President and a Project Manager, I expect them to give me accurate data.
Update: LastPass has confirmed that they’ll address this issue in the next release.
Update 2: LastPass has addressed this issue in their new v2.0 release. There is still a way to bypass the password prompt in Chrome, but they will address that in the next release. Overall, it looks like we can close the books on this one.
I’m a big fan of LastPass – it’s a great service that has impressed me every step of the way.
(Disclaimer: This is something of a rant, and was written at 3AM. My apologies if it doesn’t make sense. Feel free to ignore.)
It’s 3AM, and I’m up reading, again. Is it the latest great novel or one of the classics that I enjoy so much? No, it’s research for my latest hobby. It’s lasers this time, but this pattern is far from new.
I’m starting to think I just try to do too much, I go in too many different directions.
Wow! It’s been over a year since this blog o’ mine has seen any activity, though I’ve certainly not forgot about it. A lot has happened in the last year, so I’ll use this post as a bit of an update (and a warm-up for my return to blogging).
I’m not going to promise you’ll see a new post daily as was once the case, though I’ll try to ensure something new is up at least once a week.
I love what I do, and I work with a great team. While it’s still far from perfect; I can say that I do love my job. For the last couple weeks though, I’ve had to remind myself of this several times. I’m sure we’ve all done it, in this industry it’s hard to avoid. You read an email or receive a phone call and repeat the mantra “I love my job, I love my job, I love my job.
